Here are results from a Model C programme

For the “Apprentice for a Day” Programme for Year 9 and Year 10 students in TTE Training Limited’s workshops.

Of the 83 Year 10 students:

• 94% say that they have learnt new skills from their day at TTE
• 82% say that they would recommend a day at TTE to their friends
• 93% say that they enjoyed their day at TTE
• 74% say it has made them think more seriously about becoming an engineering apprentice.

Of the 72 Year 9 students:

• 86% say that they have learnt new skills from their day at TTE
• 85% say that they would recommend a day at TTE to their friends
• 92% say that they enjoyed their day at TTE
• 80% say it has made them think more seriously about becoming an engineering apprentice.

For the “Apprentices into Schools” Programme for 130 Year 8 students in schools:

• 93% say that they enjoyed working with the apprentices on the practical exercises
• 79% say that they learned a lot about being an apprentice by talking to them during the practical exercise

Also, for the 67 students in the sessions run by BEM (i.e. which included the perception change processes):

• 67% say it has made them think more seriously about becoming an engineering apprentice.
