Testimonials

Business Education Matters Ltd (BEM) was formed in July 2004 by Jane Gamble, a former senior manager with a global role for industry-education links in a multinational chemical company.

BEM operates from purpose-built offices in the North York Moors National Park.
We are growing rapidly and have developed a widespread reputation for designing creative projects and running them successfully.
We can now offer a breadth of expertise through a number of Associates.

Personnel

Our main focus is on assisting science and engineering companies, industries and associated organisations to work with secondary schools and post-16/further education colleges in a cost-effective way that increases their impact.

We also assist schools and colleges in a variety of ways to work effectively with industry. Our programmes motivate students to help improve standards and develop qualities and skills that employers need.

We specialise in creating bespoke business-education programmes for companies, industries and organisations that suit their specific needs and budgets. BEM then manages these ongoing programmes, often for many years, on behalf of the clients. Evaluation is a strong feature of our work. We also undertake research and writing projects as well as deliver training sessions.

We have particular expertise in changing young people’s perceptions of industry and this forms the basis of several of our programmes. Preliminary research is usually essential here.
