Many teachers in secondary schools and post-16/FE colleges see the lots of benefits of working with industry. However, they can find it difficult to establish and then sustain links with industry due to a lack of suitable strategies and knowledge and, also, often due to the many other work-related demands on them.

Similarly, many industrialists see the desirability of working with schools/colleges but, similarly, have a lack of strategies and know how as well as other business demands on them.

Thus, despite good intentions, getting good things to happen between education and industry on any scale is not straightforward and often, in fact, is surprisingly difficult. BEM specialises in this area; this is what we do.
